BRIDGE

A blockchain bridge connects two blockchain ecosystems. Bridges facilitate communication between blockchains through the transfer of information and assets.

Gather Network uses the Wan bridge to transfer assets from one blockchain to another.

ASSETS SUPPORTED

These are the possible transfer of assets on the Gather Network Bridge.

  1. GTH as ERC-20 token on Ethereum blockchain ⇋ GTH as Native Currency on Gather Network blockchain

  2. GTH as BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain ⇋ GTH as Native Currency on Gather Network blockchain

  3. GTH as BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Chain ⇋ GTH as ERC-20 token on Ethereum blockchain

HOW TO TRANSFER

STEP - 1

Open the link https://bridge.wanchain.org/

STEP - 2

Connect your wallet by clicking on the Connect to Wallet button on the top right. Select your wallet and unlock it.

STEP - 3:

Select the asset which you want to transfer from one blockchain to another.

Eg: Here GTH as ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain is being transferred as native currency GTH on the Gather Network blockchain.

STEP - 4

Select from and to chains (blockchains).

Eg: Here assets will be transferred from the Ethereum blockchain to the Gather Network blockchain.

STEP - 5:

Add amount and recipient to which you want to transfer your funds ( you can use the wallet icon to simply transfer fund to wallet address from which you are connected) and press next to continue.

STEP - 6:

Complete the transaction by clicking on the Confirm button. A small transaction fee will be required to swap the assets to Ethereum network.

There is no bridge fee (except for the transfers to Ethereum), users only pay gas on the source chain. Gas on the destination chain is paid by the bridge. For most chains, the bridge subsidies these but as the fees on Ethereum are too expensive, there's a bridge fee to cover Ethereum-side gas.

No Bridge Fee:

  • Gather --> BSC

  • BSC --> Gather

  • Ethereum --> Gather

  • Ethereum --> BSC

Bridge Fee:

  • Gather --> Ethereum
