WHAT IS GTH?

GTH is the native cryptocurrency of GATHER. Fundamentally, it is the only payment method accepted by Gather Network for transaction fees.

MINTING GTH

On the Gather ledger, minting is the process of creating GTH. GTH is created by the Gather protocol. It is not possible for a user to create GTH.

BURNING GTH

In addition to generating GTH through block rewards, GTH can be destroyed through a process known as 'burning.' When GTH is burned, it is permanently withdrawn from circulation.

DENOMINATIONS OF GTH

Wei is the least amount of GTH that can be used, so many technical implementations will use it as the basis for all calculations.

Gwei, short for giga-wei, is often used to describe gas costs on Gather.
